Use the web to organise the trip and its daily routes. Use the native app to record a stage reliably in the background. Give friends one optional browser link when the journey goes live.
Is this the app you need?
Bikepacking Live is for riders who want a multi-day trip to stay coherent across planning, stage recording, and optional family sharing. It is not a route-discovery network, emergency satellite device, or a replacement for downloaded navigation.
One route through the full workflow
The Hetzner router generated a 57.2 km bicycle route. Save it to the journey on the web, open the trip in the native app, record accepted GPS points during the ride, and let the follower page show only what has actually arrived.
The value is not another coloured line. It is the same named stage moving through planning, recording, synchronisation, statistics, and sharing. Create an account to own that continuity.
Generated with the same production bicycle router used by Bikepacking Live. Always verify current access, surfaces, closures, weather, and local conditions before riding.

No. Followers open the private trip link in a modern browser without an account.
Do not use Bikepacking Live as your only navigation tool. Carry the route in an offline navigation app or bike computer.
The cyclist app can keep accepted GPS points queued locally. New follower updates require connectivity and catch up after reconnection.
